Children, teens, and adults all learn differently — and the lessons should reflect that. Here's how I approach each group.

Years of piano playing
I’m Elizabeth Vengoechea. I began studying piano as a child and have more than 10 years of playing experience.
I earned my MTAC Certificate of Merit in February 2025 and have performed at weddings, church services, fundraisers, Temecula City Hall, and Old Town community events.
In lessons, we build reading, rhythm, and technique step by step, with music that fits your interests and a pace that feels manageable.
Choosing a piano teacher for your child is a real decision. Here's what most parents want to know before they reach out — and what you can expect once your child starts lessons with me.

Short, regular practice is a good starting point. We’ll discuss a manageable routine—often 15–20 minutes for beginners—and adjust it for your child.
We work on reading, rhythm, technique, and confidence at your child’s pace. Performance opportunities can be discussed when your child is ready.
Practice guidance helps you support learning at home. Use the trial to ask about lesson updates, homework, and how you can be involved.
New to piano lessons or returning after a break? Here's exactly what happens during your complimentary 45-minute trial — designed to feel welcoming, never intimidating.
We'll chat, get comfortable, and I'll learn a little about you (or your child) — interests, goals, and any prior experience with music.
A short, low-pressure activity at the piano so I can see where you are and what would feel right for your next steps.
I'll share recommended lesson length, frequency, and a clear path forward — tailored to your goals and pace.
If it feels like a good fit, we'll schedule your first regular lesson. If not, you walk away with helpful guidance — no obligation.

“Elizabeth worked with my Special Needs son on learning about music and how to play the piano. She brought knowledge, creativity, kindness, acceptance and fun to the lessons. She is highly skilled musically in her own right and this doesn't always transfer to good teaching. In her case, it definitely does. She approached lessons thoughtfully and she was always well prepared. Most importantly, she treated my son with respect and encouragement. I highly recommend Elizabeth as a teacher.”
